Clouds of Grief and Sunshine Days

Clouds of grief and sunshine days

When clouds of grief come it sometimes seems the sun will never shine again.
Days come and go in this fog of grief and it’s easy to feel out of touch with reality.
It’s almost like you’re living in a daze…

Recently we have been having many many cloudy days… It brought back memories of when my baby died.  Cloudy days were hard.  Crying came very easy and moping around seemed par for the course.  I loved it when the sun shone once again.
It seemed easier to cope with grief when the sun was shining.

Doing What Comes Next

Recently a friend of mine had a life changing experience.  She has experienced life changing events before but this one is a moment she will remember for the rest of her life.  Suddenly and without warning her husband collapsed while working.  No amount of life-saving techniques made any difference.  She watched in disbelief as her husband died.  He was 55 years old.  She is 48.  There are 5 children still living at home and the youngest is in 3rd grade.

I have been inspired by what I see her doing.  It is something that is serving her really well as she faces many unknowns and is suddenly plunged into the grieving process.
She just keeps on doing what comes next.

A rich melody came to his soul, healed his spirit, restored his joy. One man’s triumph over the bitter pain of death, grief, intense sorrow, and loss.

Prayer of a Grieving Heart

Can’t sleep because the wheels of your mind won’t stop turning?!
Have you ever wished for a switch to turn your mind OFF?!
One night my mind was in a whirl thinking about my dear friends whose son had just been killed in a car accident.  He was only 16, full of life and love.
This unwelcome news is a parents worst nightmare.
An unforgettable tragedy!
A life-changing event.

I Am Your Guardian Angel

Grief ~ Sorrow ~ Pain ~ Suffering ~ Loss ~ Mourning ~ Death ~ Crying
These are just a few words that describe the intense sadness we experience when our world is turned upside down by death.  It is a moment that defines who we are and a moment that is etched forever in our minds.

I came across this story recently and it really touched me.  I have thought of my dear sweet Bethany as my very own guardian angel for a long time.  Have you considered this for yourself?  Perhaps this story will give you a brief glimpse into the possibility of your dear one being your guardian angel.
